Guest Post & Tour: Jenna's Conset by Jennifer Kacey & Giveaway

Jenna's Consent

by Jennifer Kacey

Members Only, Book Six

Every night Jenna spends hours preparing submissives for their Doms at The Library. She encourages them, reassures them as they take a step into the forbidden and urges them never to settle. But when it comes to her own journey, she’s spent years hiding, trapped within the steel cage of her corsets. She can’t hide any longer.

Nick has wanted her since the moment he laid eyes on her but she’s always told him no. Until now. She agrees to be his submissive for a night but he wants more…much more. He unwittingly brings in the one man Jenna never stopped loving and, on the cusp of everything’s he’s ever wanted, he’s not the only one fighting for her heart.

Ian can’t forget her…his Jenna. He walked away years ago, but not this time. This time he’ll settle for nothing but her complete submission.

Three people unable to let go of the past must learn that love—above all else—is worth fighting for.

Excerpt:

“Should I pick a new safe word, Sir?”

His fist tightened in her hair and she flinched in pain.
“Oh no, by all means you should keep it. Cause if I’m topping you and you even mumble his name I’ll never touch you again. Understood?”
Her muffled whimper reached him through his fog of anger.
“Yes Sir.”
“The first part of the punishment is rope is no longer a hard limit. You lost your ability to claim it when you weren’t honest about it in the beginning.” He went to his bag and took out the only actual toy he’d brought with him.
A sadistick.

It looked like a very slender metal cane and was rather unassuming in length and weight. Most people who hadn’t experienced it, dismissed it as nothing more than a tiny prop. Those who had already met with the business end knew to fear it above most other toys. Out of the corner of his eye, Jenna backed up a step.
Smart girl.
He grabbed three hanks of jute, tucking the handle of the sadistick into the back pocket of his pants.
“Face the crowd.”
She swiveled slightly, doing as she was told.
He dropped two of his rope coils on the ground, crowding her feet with them. A tiny whine reached his ears and the rest of the crowd disappeared.
He tucked his finger into the end of the rope and tossed the rest of it away from him. It flew, reminding him how much he relished the reality of tying Jenna.

Guest Post from the author Jennifer Kacey:

Not gonna lie. I thought this was the coolest question of the tour and one, out of all of my tours, I’ve never been asked.
Do you have a soundtrack you created that goes along with Jenna’s Consent?
OMFG yes!!!!
I could go on for A LONG TIME on songs I listened to that inspired certain pieces of the book BUT I’m going to limit it to 10. OMG only 10!!! Ok…Ok… Here I go.
These are listed in no particular order so enjoy to your heart’s content!
David Guetta Shot Me Down – This one is actually in the book. Scene with Jenna tying Oscar. And the rigger that helped me extensively on this book ties to this song all the time!
Josh Groban Lullaby – Scene with Nick and Jenna where he outlines her in rope and tells her not to move. This song is that moment when they’re lying together on the floor before she freaks out. It’s beautiful and haunting. Love it. Also happens to be really special to me. I sing it all the time!
Amy Mottram and Tony Robert’s cover of Beneath your Beautiful – Nick watching Jenna self-suspend for the first time and finally gets to see…her.
System of a Down’s Lonely Day – In bed with Oscar. Heartbroken.
Major to Minor’s Every Breath You Take – Not so much the words but the feel when Jenna wakes up from her dream. As if someone’s watching. So sexy.
Miley Cyrus Stay – When Ian takes Jenna home from The Library. What she feels but won’t say.
Maroon 5 Love Somebody – Rope bombing with the girls because it’s up beat and hopeful! And Adam Levine. Damn.
Mockingjay Hanging Tree – The lilting sound of the solo voice and then joined by the choir. Gives me chills. Makes me think of Jenna and how she feels so alone, but she’s not. Her friends are all behind her.
Bruno Mars Never Say You Can’t – Nawa when he talks to Jenna. Love their relationship and how he supports her completely.
Elle Henderson Five Tattoos – Jenna’s tattoo at the very end. Sigh… So special.

About MEET YOUR BAKER:

Welcome to Torte—a friendly, small-town family bake shop where the treats are so good that, sometimes, it’s criminal…

After graduating from culinary school, Juliet Capshaw returns to her quaint hometown of Ashland, Oregon, to heal a broken heart and help her mom at the family bakery. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is bringing in lots of tourists looking for some crumpets to go with their heroic couplets. But when one of Torte’s customers turns up dead, there’s much ado about murder…

"Sure to satisfy both dedicated foodies and ardent mystery lovers alike."

―Jessie Crockett, author of Drizzled with Death

The victim is Nancy Hudson, the festival’s newest board member. A modern-day Lady Macbeth, Nancy has given more than a few actors and artists enough reasons to kill her…but still. The silver lining? Jules’s high school sweetheart, Thomas, is the investigator on the case. His flirtations are as delicious as ever, and Jules can’t help but want to have her cake and eat it too. But will she have her just desserts? Murder might be bad for business, but love is the sweetest treat of all…

"Alexander weaves a tasty tale of deceit, family ties, delicious pastries, and murder.” ―Edith Maxwell, author of A Tine to Live, A Tine to Die

My Review:
I'm not normally one to pick up a historical romance unless it has some paranormal elements to it, but I thought I would give this one and try and I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was a very amusing and fast read.
I really like Louisa and how strong she is. She basically gave up her chance of happiness and finding a husband to take care of her little sisters after her parents and brother had died. She's very proper but she has a sassy streak to her. Her sisters amused me to no end. I really like their interactions with Bray too.
You also can't help but fall for Bray. Yes he's the bad boy who doesn't want to settle down but he does have a good heart and I really liked how much her grew and fell for Louisa and her sisters. He never really had a family so it was fun to see how he interacted with all the girls.
This was a very sweet and really fun read. I am definitely interested in reading the rest of the series from the author when they are released.

Book 1 in the Tales of Skylge series:

An ancient land protected by a Tower of Light,
its people ever tempted by Siren song,
and a girl who falls for the wrong boy.

On the island of Skylge, electricity is only for the Currents – the rich ruling class who once came from across the sea and brought the holy fire of St. Brandan to Skylge. Ever since, the light in the Brandaris Tower has protected the islanders. Heeding the Siren's call will drown your body and steal your soul, but the sacred light in the Tower will chase the merfolk away.

When Skylger girl Enna welcomes her brother back from a long sea voyage, he gives her a special present from the mainland – an electronic record only playable on a Current device. The problem is that Royce Bolton, Current heartthrob and the town’s most gifted pianist, wants it too. After she stubbornly refuses to sell the LP featuring his favorite artist, he suggests sharing the record by secretly meeting up in his private summer house. Taken aback yet thrilled, Enna agrees – and discovers that there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Current society and the history of Skylge. Why do the Sirens tempt the islanders to give themselves up to the sea? And where does the Currents’ monopoly on electricity really come from?

While struggling with these questions, Enna begins to fall for Royce, risking everything to be with a guy who is clearly wrong for her. She will learn that the sound of Sirens isn’t the most treacherous thing out there to haunt her dreams.

(The setting of Tales of Skylge is loosely based on the Dutch island of Terschelling, or Schylge in the island’s dialect. Although the names and places in this book will sound very familiar to people living on the island, the characters and events are, of course, entirely fictitious in nature.)

Review & Tour: Blue Room VIP series by Emily Ryan-Davis

Series: Blue Room VIPs

by Emily Ryan-Davis

Anything can happen in the Blue Rooms…even love.

Tour Organizer: N K Author Services

Tied & Twisted

Since leaving the Army to launch a private security company and raise his younger sister, David Burke doesn’t have time for women outside of business. He swears by casual and uncomplicated, and satisfies his needs within the walls of a friend’s club…until business and pleasure cross paths in one of the club’s exclusive Blue Rooms.
With the emotional wounds she carries, Jovanna Steeple knows she shouldn’t be looking twice at any man, let alone the man in charge of security for her small business. Anonymous is the name of the game when it comes to managing her physical desires…until David changes the rules by tearing off her mask and breaking down the wall she’s built around herself.
When Jovanna’s past rears its ugly head and violates the new life she’s making, David might be enough to save her heart–but will he be enough to save her life?

My Review:
Woo this one is super hot and a really fast read! It had a lot of suspense and some action. The author really drew me into the story. It comes off as a BDSM novel but its really not all about that. Its a good romantic suspense.
I really like Jo. She's had some rough times but I like how she still wants to have some control. Even if she is a sub sometimes that doesn't dictate her whole life.
I really like David. He's so commanding and very sexy. I love how protective he becomes of Jo. They really work well together.
I like the authors writing style a lot and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Naked & Unleashed

The line between business and pleasure was never a concern for Callista Voorhees until Mikal Steele stepped off her client list and into her most twisted fantasies. She knows she shouldn’t draw him into her uncivilized need to surrender, but Mikal’s thinly restrained violence wreaks havoc with her good sense.
Divided by responsibility and desire, Mikal can’t deny the reality of Callista’s draw. Everything she needs to give is everything he longs to take–but he isn’t a man who can afford a personal indulgence of this magnitude. He’s ready to turn his back on Callista–until she endangers herself in a bid to satisfy her own forbidden urges, and he realizes protecting her from herself is more important than preserving his good name.

My Review:
This story deals with the darker side of sexual wants and needs. Not a whole bunch of storyline in this one but its very emotional and dark but sexy.
I was intrigued by Mikal from the first story and was hoping to learn more about him, so I was really glad that this story was his. He's definitely a very dark and twisted individual but I really like how much he wants to protect Callista.
It was really interesting to read about this dark side of BDSM. People cant always help what they want and I can't say I've ever read anything about someone with such dark fantasies. The storyline was handled really well and still very sexy for something almost taboo.
I'm really enjoying this series and definitely look forward to reading more from this author. She has a way of sucking you into her stories.

Tangled & Bound

The powerful, magnetic man seated beside Melanie Burke on a flight to Las Vegas could have walked straight out of one of Melanie’s dog-eared romance novels. When he strikes up a conversation with her on the late-evening flight, fictional fantasies become knee-weakening, panty-soaking, feminine-core-clenching reality…a reality she wants to revisit again and again.

But when jaded club owner Sam Fletcher informs Melanie that his plans don’t include a long-term relationship with an impulsive young blonde for whom submission is more than likely a passing whim, Melanie throws herself into convincing him she is exactly the woman he wants, needs, and can’t live without.

 My Review:
You dont have to read the others in this series to read this one. But the characters do make cameos in the other books and other characters in this one. All of the books stand-alone really well. That being said I really liked this one and it was very hot but at times completely frustrating!
Sam was very hot and cold with Melanie. I could understand where he was coming from not wanting to hurt Melanie and thinking that he would be too much for her but he was so on then off it was crazy. I wish they got more into his back round. He is very intriguing but he is still a big mystery.
Melanie was sweet but at times very childish. I really like her and Sam together but she acted at times like she didn't know what she wanted.
When they were together it was very steamy and erotic. Its another fast read from the author.
Its a great series and I hope to get more in it. I'm definitely going to check out her other work.
