Review: Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

11918

Elena Michaels is a werewolf. She tries to be human, but the man whose bite changed her existence forever, and his legacy, continue to haunt her. Thrown into a desperate war for survival that tests her allegiance to a secret clan of werewolves, Elena must reconsider who and what she is.

I love this series! I've read this book probably 20 times and can still enjoy it. Elena and Clay are one of my favorite fictional couples. They just have great chemistry and I love the banter between them. I started this series over since the new show on Sy-Fy started based on it. This was one of the series that originally had me branching out into romance years ago. I used to read only mysteries and this one definitely has a great suspense to it. I have always been one for the strong female leads and Elena fits that bill. Her sarcasm and wit are so much fun and Clay who can be infuriating is also so lovable. Even the "secondary" characters are so much fun to read. I love Nick who is just a big flirt and Jeremy who is very serious but still kind and loving. I'm hoping that the new TV series can do this series justice.

So far I'm not big on who they cast for Clay. I'm iffy on Elena too but I'll give them a chance.  I've learned that you have to separate books from TV/Movies because it'll never be just right. But so far the show is pretty good and basically sticking to the storyline of the book. So we'll see.

  1. Ahh I so enjoy that series too. Such an interesting group. Always have a soft spot for those series that were your 'turning' series and opened new reading doors for ya :)

  2. It was right after it came out that I read it and then fell in love with the genre. This and the Anita Blake novels. Well up until they turned into pure porn.
